That is 70 tons of phones, with over 130 million of those phones being thrown away after 18 months  of usage on average.

Charitable Recycling (www.charitablerecycling.com) has partnered with Defenders of Wildlife to keep these used cell phones from landfills, while generating a new income source for Defenders of Wildlife.

Charitable Recycling will make a contribution to the Defenders of Wildlife for every cell phone received in their name.  Any used cell phones will be accepted.

We ask that you only send the used cell phone and the battery if you have it. All accessories, chargers, etc. should be recycled locally.

We guarantee All data is erased and cleared from the phones.  If however, you would prefer to do the erasure yourself, please go to www.charitablerecycling.com and follow the instructions.

Charitable Recycling is ISO14001 registered and will be carbon neutral in 2008.

If you would like to donate a phone to this program, please download and print our prepaid shipping label.
